Is Twitter really that great? Sure you can follow celebrities in their day to day lives but do we really need to know some of the things that they post about? Then there are all the people pretending to be who they aren’t. The other day Lenny Kravitz supposedly started following me. It doesn’t take long to find out that most of the people really aren’t who they say they are. I will say that it can be interesting on occasion following some people. One example is following Jon Favreau as he posts about his current directing of Iron Man 2. Did you see this? Origami Iron Man. Very cool. I’m tempted to try it but I don’t think I would ever get it to look that way.

So I have decided to upgrade my cell phone and switch carriers. After putting up with a lack of feature filled phones and poor reception in an area where there shouldn’t be it is time for a change. I looked around a bit and had almost purchased the Sony W600. That was until I noticed that the new W810 was coming out this spring. I’m going to hold off for a couple months and wait to pick up this one. Here’s some specs on the W810 straight from Sony Ericsson’s Site:

What can I say other then I’ve been busy? Sometimes you just get to the point when there is so much going on that you don’t even really have time to sleep. If you could eliminate sleep then you might actually get everything done. Well, that’s about the size of how things have been for the last few months. Between working full time and working at starting up my own business after this full time job expires (term ends the end of Sept.), I haven’t had any time to read anything online. There hasn’t been a lot that’s been of interest lately. I only managed to see a couple of the movies I had wanted to see this summer. I did pick up DOOM 3 when it came out but I haven’t had time to really play it so I still don’t have it finished yet. What can you do? Anyways, I have a few things I saw this morning to post on. (One was first mentioned a little while ago. I missed it).
Well, Kingdom Hospital will be returning to television this Thursday night. Here is the scoop:
ABC will run the final 4 episodes of Kingdom Hospital as three one-hour episodes and one 2-hour episode. Episode 10 is called “The Passion of Reverend Jimmy” by Tabitha King and Stephen King. Episode 11 is called “Seizure Day” by Richard Dooling. Episode 12 is called “Shoulda’ Stood in Bed” by Stephen King and the last episode which is 2 hours is called “Finale” by Stephen King. All are directed by Craig Baxley and they will run on consecutive Thursdays beginning June 24th.
In other Stephen King news, the cover art for the final Dark Tower novel is now online. The Dark Tower VII: The Dark Tower is to be released September 21, 2004. Here’s the cover:
Well, things have been really busy as of late and I haven’t had a lot of time to post. I’m hoping to post a little more over the next while. One thing I have done recently was a site for a local Bed and Breakfast. I also have a couple others coming up so I’ll post as much as I can, when I can. You can check out the site I just finished HERE.

I just reinstalled my computer the other day. I’ve been running without a reinstall for the past 2 years now on Windows XP Pro. I really didn’t need to reload Windows. I did have a few small glitches every once and a while that were caused from different things that I had installed in the past and have since removed. I figured it’s been long enough, might as well make a fresh install. So, I used that new DVD burner and backed up everything. MP3’s, configuration files, email, favorites, downloads, you name it. 17 DVD’s later, I was done. The installation of Windows was fine, I did the updates, and then started loading the apps. Once I had everything back, I started configuring the look and restoring data I had backed up. Everything was fine till I hit Outlook. I have backed up and restored my PST file many times in the past. I have important email from 1998 to present, all my work information and tons of contacts in my Outlook. As soon as I tried to import I received this lovely message, “The file Outlook.pst is not a personal folders file.” I decided to check the obvious since it was on a CD. No, its not set to read only. Ok, I try using the Inbox Repair Tool. It scans and finds some errors. After repairing the errors, it opens and shows me my 200+MB PST file with absolutely nothing in it. Great. I did some searching on the net for info. I tried the other things it listed such as verifying file ownership, permissions, importing to Outlook Express first, etc. etc. Nothing is working. Anyone who has some ideas or knows of any tools I might be able to use, I would greatly appreciate it. I did find a backup I had made last May that I could import and it worked. I do desperately need to get the information from the last year though so I need to find a way to get the information out of this PST.

I was going to go to a friend’s house yesterday to burn a ton of information from my system onto DVD’s. Out of my 77GB’s of space I am sitting with only 900MB remaining, so I had to do something. (That happens easily with 9000+ mp3’s) I was rushed trying to leave and forgot to grab my hard drives to bring with me so I couldn’t get the information burned. Since the drive to my friend’s is about an hour and a half, I decided the price was low enough now on DVD burners to pick up my own instead. I got him to call around and he came across this LG drive for $159 CND and a spindle of 25 DVD-R 4x disks for $32. Now I am in the process of burning everything off. I had some crazy things going on while trying to get it installed. I thought I lost everything on my 17GB backup drive. I already have a DVD, CD-RW and 2 hard drives installed. I have a RAID controller and was going to use it so I could hook them all up. In the end I unplugged the DVD for now till I backed it all up. When I’m done, I’ll use the RAID and reinstall everything. Anyway, here are the spec’s and a picture of the drive I picked up:
