Well, I finally now have the mouse and keyboard combination that I have been waiting for. I picked up the impressive G5 Laser mouse and the G15 Gaming keyboard. Now hopefully I can find some time to play some games and use them for what they were designed for. Here’s the basics on those parts:
The G5 Laser offers the ability to adjust the weight and balance to win your game! Also it gives you the edge with a 2000 dpi laser engine sending out an astounding 500 USB reports per second for precision response at blinding speeds.
The Logitech G15 keyboard offers gamers an unprecedented level of in-game information, programmability and control. Its adjustable-tilt, backlit LCD display shows you crucial information during game play, and lets you set timers to keep track of game events.
The hardware specifications for DOOM 3 have been released. As expected, you need quite a hefty system to run the game so you may want to go upgrade before you play it. Here are the specs:
For more information on the specifications, you can check out the Houston Chronicle article HERE.

After 4 years of waiting, it has finally happened. Todd Hollenshead has updated his .plan file with the announcement that DOOM 3 is gold. That’s right, it’s on it’s way to be copied and the next stop is a shop near you. The .plan file states that “Retailers in the States will be allowed to pick up games starting at 12:01 AM on August 3rd. The official street date is actually August 5th in the U.S.A., but some of your favorite stores will probably have it early for those of you who have to have it first.” Which of course is all of us!

The new issue of Game Informer (due on the 21st) apparently provides the first in-depth look at Rockstar’s anticipated GTA: San Andreas. Thanks to GTA-SanAndreas.com for the info. Here are the details from the upcoming issue:

Someone has gotten a copy of the E3 video for Half-Life 2 and posted it on the net. As well, it includes the first ever video of Counter-Strike running on the Source engine. It weighs in as a 34MB Quicktime file. For the moment, you can get it HERE.

Rockstar Games has posted a few official screenshots from Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas which is due for release in October for the PS2. You can check out the shots HERE.
