Sopranos Season 5 in March

November 16th, 2003 | Comments Off | Posted in Television

Why, oh why, does it have to be so long between seasons with the Sopranos? At least Season 4 is out on DVD and we can watch it a few times while waiting for the premiere of Season 5 on Sunday, March 7th, 2004. Hopefully I will be able to pick it up myself soon.

Upcoming Movies

November 15th, 2003 | Comments Off | Posted in Movies

I was looking around on the net for movies that will be coming out that I am looking forward to. Here’s a rundown with links to the movie’s homepages (if avail.). I am sure there are a few others that I am forgetting.

Van Helsing – May 7, 2004 – www.vanhelsingmovie.com
In the late 19th century, monster hunter Van Helsing (Hugh Jackman) is summoned to a distant Eastern European land on a quest to vanquish evil in the form of Dracula, the Frankenstein monster and The Wolf Man.

Blade: Trinity – August 13, 2004 – No link yet
In the third film of the Blade trilogy, the vampire hunter known as Blade (Wesley Snipes) is set up by a group of vampires to appear to be a serial killer. The FBI is soon on his tail, and Blade’s ability to hunt vampires becomes incredibly limited. Meanwhile, villain Danica Talos wakes up a senior vampire called Drake (Purcell) from a century long sleep in order to gain world control. Blade finds he needs to join up with the Nightstalkers, a team of vampire hunters.
UPDATE: March 26, 2004 – The release date for Blade: Trinity has been moved back from August 13, 2004 to December 10, 2004.

Spider-Man 2 – July 2, 2004 – www.spiderman.sonypictures.com
Two years have passed, and the mild-mannered Peter Parker (Toby Maguire) faces new challenges as he struggles with “the gift and the curse,” desperately trying to balance his dual identities as the web-slinging superhero Spider-Man and his life as a college student. Tormented by his secrets, Peter finds that his relationships with all those he holds dear are in danger of unraveling. Peter’s life is about to become even more complicated as he encounters a formidable new foe – Dr. Otto Octavius (Alfred Molina). Peter must use all the powers at his disposal to try to stop this diabolical madman in his octagonal tracks.
UPDATE: March 27,2004 – Spider-Man 2 has actually been pushed up a few days and will now be released on June 30, 2004.

The Punisher – April 16, 2004 – www.punisherthemovie.com
After his wife and children are murdered, FBI agent and former Marine Frank Castle (Thomas Jane) becomes a gun-wielding vigilante called The Punisher, ridding America of crime by acting as judge, jury and executioner.

Aliens vs. Predator – August 6, 2004 – www.avp-movie.com
Hoping to lure a Predator clan to Antarctica using Alien eggs, a rogue team of scientists are caught in an intergalactic war between the two extremely violent species.

Kill Bill Vol.2 – April 16, 2004 – www.kill-bill.com
The Bride (Uma Thurman) continues her quest for vengeance against her former co-workers and boss, Bill (David Carradine).

Constantine – February 11, 2005 – No link yet
Renegade occultist John Constantine (Keanu Reeves), who has literally been to hell and back, teams up with skeptical policewoman Katelin Dodson to solve the mysterious suicide of her twin sister. Their investigation takes them through the world of demons and angels that exists just beneath the landscape of contemporary Los Angeles. Based on the DC-Vertigo comic book Hellblazer.
UPDATE: March 13, 2004 – Constantine has been delayed from September 17, 2004 until February 11, 2005.

Resident Evil: Apocalypse – September 24, 2004 – www.sonypictures.com/movies/residentevilapocalypse
The film begins where the first film left off, with Alice (Milla Jovovich) in the heart of the ravaged and deadly Raccoon City. She has been subjected to biogenetic experimentation by the vast Umbrella Corporation and become genetically altered, with super-human strengths, senses and dexterity. These skills, and more, will be needed if anyone is to remain alive.

Catwoman – July 30, 2004 – www.catwoman.com
Catwoman is the story of shy, sensitive artist Patience Philips (Halle Berry), a woman who can’t seem to stop apologizing for her own existence. She works as a graphic designer for Hedare Beauty, a mammoth cosmetics company on the verge of releasing a revolutionary anti-aging product. When Patience inadvertently happens upon a dark secret her employers (Sharon Stone, Lambert Wilson) are hiding, she finds herself in the middle of a corporate conspiracy.

The Chronicles of Riddick – June 11, 2004 – www.thechroniclesofriddick.com
After making it out of the first film (Pitch Black) alive, Riddick (Vin Diesel) finds himself caught in the middle of the tenth crusade, a 26th century war between the followers of Lord Marshal (Colm Feore) and the Elemental race.

I’m also hoping for Fury Road aka Mad Max 4 and The Fantastic Four to be finished and released next year.

Website, Movies and Music

November 12th, 2003 | Comments Off | Posted in General, Movies, Music, Website

Well, I fixed a couple links I noticed were bad on the zor’s links page and updated the dvd list again. I’m thinking what I am going to do for ease of updating for me is to create a database driven page for the links and dvd list. It should be a pretty straight forward page to create. I picked up a few more Cd’s and Dvd’s tonight. Since yesterday was a holiday all new releases came out today. I picked up the Terminator 3 DVD. I liked the movie, but it was so similiar to T2. My KMFDM Strum & Drang Tour 2002 DVD showed up. That was a nice shock when I went to pick up my stuff. On the CD front, I picked up the new Kid Rock, The Matrix Revolutions soundtrack, the new one from Dream Theater – Train of Thought and my new Skid Row CD – Thickskin finally showed up. Don’t forget to let me know if you come across any pages with link problems, missing images, etc.

Updates

November 11th, 2003 | Comments Off | Posted in Website

I haven’t had a chance to update a lot lately with so much going on. I did however update the dvd’s page and the mp3’s list. The mp3’s list matches the format of the other pages and now has almost 700 more songs listed. The only downside of that page is it will not fit on a 800×600 screen like the rest of the site. I’m also hoping to update more frequently soon.
